About Chinese Government Scholarships

Chongqing Jiaotong University offers two types of scholarships: government-funded CGS scholarships for exchanges with other countries, and Tuition Scholarships that provide full or partial tuition per year. We encourage you to apply early because these are highly competitive. There is no application fee, although there is a fee for graduate programs where spaces are limited.
If your circumstances change during the year, you may be eligible for a scholarship that was not available earlier in the year. Chongqing Jiaotong University offers scholarships for students accepted for undergraduate courses. These are competitive, but not guaranteed. If you are accepted, after meeting with your advisor you may be able to receive funding deemed appropriate by the university to further your studies both financially and intellectually.
The scholarship program has three different types of opportunities that can be awarded to approved students: tuition waivers, living expenses waivers and individual scholarships including academic merit-based awards and need-based awards. Are You Suitable For The CSC Scholarship

You can apply for Chongqing Jiaotong University’s CSC Scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria, including:

• Being a citizen of a country other than China and having a sound mind and body;
• There are different age requirements for different programs. You need an undergraduate degree to enter a master’s program; you need at least three years of work experience in your field to enter the doctoral program.
• If you are pre-admitted by another university in China, you can not apply for this scholarship.

If you want to apply for the CSC scholarship at Chongqing Jiaotong University, you need to fill out the following application form:

• Go to the CSC website and create a profile for yourself. Fill in all your details in the form generated by clicking "Apply Now"
• From this account, it's not possible to apply for more than one university's scholarship at a time. If you do, all your applications will be cancelled and you'll have to start from scratch with a new account
• In order to add another university's scholarship application agency number, go back into your profile from step 1 and edit it from there by clicking on “Add or remove proposals” in this menu: https://campuschina.org

  Chongqing Jiaotong University is one of the leading universities in China that selects candidates for the CSC scholarship through a rigorous process. It's a hard contest, and many applications are received for the CSC scholarship every year.
  Here's how you can increase your chances of being recommended for this award by CQJT in 2022:
  • Check to make sure you have all required documents together. Each university will ask you for different things, so don't submit the same documents everywhere!
  • Check if there's an extra application form you need to fill out besides just this one on CSC Scholarships. Some universities will want that too.
  • If universities require some time before they consider your application strong enough, send in digital copies alongside your hard copies when applying.
  • Double check everything on your application before hitting submit! Having two professors write you recommendations really helps give more weight to your submission - so try and get both if possible :)
